The Cape Bridgewater Resort was a concept developed with Spowers Architects for a new accommodation destination on Victoria’s western coast. Director Brendan Papworth also assisted as an expert witness in support of the proposal.
A key component of the landscape proposed by Papworth Design included “pasture villas” located in folded “pockets” on the exposed, steeply sloping northern paddock. This, combined with the distinctive architecture of the villas, was intended to create a harmonious and beautiful outcome for the project that sensitively considered views to the site from surrounding roads and residential areas as well as providing weather protection for visitors staying at the villas.
